Do you know a budding young writer? Our Youth Story Competition is giving them the chance to have a story come to life in a comic book for Afrotech Fest attendees.

Last year, our youth programme booklet illustrated a tech-savvy crew who live aboard a space station. This year, we’re excited to have young people tell us a story about the adventures the space team get up to.

We have a simple line to get everyone started:

“There’s a strange sound coming from the bridge of station…”

There are no limits to what the stories can explore - whether it’s visiting new worlds or solving mysteries on the station we’re looking forward to the amazing tales young people can tell us. We have a simple line to get everyone started:

“There’s a strange sound coming from the bridge of station…”

In addition to having their story printed as a comic, the winner will also receive a special surprise kit from one of our sponsors!

The Youth Story Competition is open to individual young people and teams aged 5 - 16 years old.

Entries should be sent to youth@afrotechfest.co.uk by Friday 1 March. These can be drawings or written stories - all written stories will need to be typed.

The space crew was illustrated by Bimpe Ailliu and the concept was conceived by Xana.
